Fulton Creek originates in the far southeastern section of rural Edmonton, it is fed by Fulton marsh, which is a constructed wetland created after the original was drained, there was also a western stream- tributary that once flowed into the creek but has now completely disappeared. Fulton marsh is now a protected wetland that conserves the native flora and fauna in the area. Fulton creek, after discharging from the Marsh is quickly culverted underneath Whitemud drive and only emerges in various different sections. the longest section that the creek flows through undisturbed, is near the Capilano freeway for three fourths of a kilometre.
